Rheinmetall Demo

A documentation of the demonstration against war, the weapon industry, Rheinmetall and aid for Ukraine in Cassel, Germany

This demo took place in Cassel, Germany and hindered one of the biggest parts of the weapon manufacturing company "Rheinmetall" from woring for almost a week. The demonstrating people wanted to show that they don't support weapon deliveries to Ukraine, nor the growing weapon industry at all. The demo was to be held for 5 days in front of the company retail and as well in the inner city of Cassel to keep people away from work.

Some of the demo days started to become aggressive and many police officers and civilians were hurt by the protestants. On the second last day of de demo there were around 400-500 policemen and officers of different degrees acompanying the demonstration. The demo was built on the grafiks of the art banner of the documenta fifteen. This logo was glued all over the city, mostly on the memorial plaques of the memorial of fallen soldiers in WW2.
